Inspiration 20 / Emma Regolini

Recently I've been thinking about doing a photoshoot with the intention of making a collage with the images so I've been looking at a lot of collages on Pinterest for inspiration (you can see the board I've created here). I originally thought I was going to do this inspiration post about collages, but then as I was searching for images I came across a photo of a girl with beautiful white lines outlining her face. I'm a sucker for any sort of interesting illustration and this image captivated me.

It was hard to find the original source, but I'm so glad that I put in the time to find Emma Regolini who is the illustrator. I found this article about her which explains the interesting way that she began making pieces like this. Originally this started as a way to explore online behaviors and the way that millennials interact with brands, and over time it became a way for art to interact with academics. Emma is currently working on her honours thesis and collaborating with the Luxury Branding Research Centre (LBRC) while also creating artwork for various brands including The Upside.

Below are some of my favorite images by Emma. Make sure to follow her on Instagram at @theline_ to see new work.
