INSPIRATION 68 / BACKDROP
Elle and I have been having so much fun getting to decorate our office and it’s been inspiring me to redo my own room. I don’t know what made me think that painting my walls an ugly gray and tan color a few years back was cool but I’m ready for a change. Thankfully, I came across a Backdrop ad that spoke to me on such a millennial level. (Lol!)
I don’t think I have ever been more excited about a paint brand, yet here we are. I was immediately drawn to their IG story ad because it made painting look like so much fun and also who doesn’t love the song “Taste” by Tyga.
I instantly became obsessed with their product without even knowing much about it. When you love imagery and branding so much, it can be extremely easy to fall in love with brands that do everything just right. From their curated selection of gorgeous colors to the ease of getting your paint and tools delivered right to your door, Backdrop is revolutionizing the painting process. They’ve even created a few Spotify playlists that are meant to accompany a specific color. Currently obsessed with the “Not So Delicate” playlist, which you can listen to here.
If you remember one of Elle’s inspirations posts on The Portland Studio a few weeks back, you may have seen some of Backdrop’s colors on their moving backdrop walls.
I ordered “Harvest Moon” and their essentials kit about a month ago and now I’m just waiting for the right time to paint. Hopefully one of these weekends pretty soon.

Is it the weekend yet?
