INSPIRATION 49 / INÈS LONGEVIAL
It’s so hard to believe that we’re in November already. Of all the years that I’ve wanted to start my own personal blog or started but was never consistent, I never thought Elle and I would make it this far with our Weekend Creative blog. As much as I hate writing, I am really proud of everything we have put out.
These past couple of months have been a roller coaster of emotions for me personally. Dealing with multiple things at once can be challenging all while being assertively feminine. So when I came across French painter Inès Longevial, I was blown away by her portraits. In a way, a lot of these portraits showed me of how uniquely complex we are as women. I was especially drawn to the way Inès uses geometric shapes and bold colors to highlight the different features of the face and body. Her work is a visual reminder to be bold while embracing our femininity.
Inès is currently showing at the Chandran Gallery in San Francisco but you can follow her on Instagram to see more of her work.
Is it the weekend yet?
